HRG at the Minneapolis Duathlon

This past Sunday was the Minneapolis Duathlon in downtown Minneapolis. We had perfect weather for running and biking the 5k run, 18 mile bike and 5k run. Mike, Pat and Bryan were the HRG representatives and all posted very good times for the day. Mike was third in his age bracket and Pat was also in the top 10 coming in 7th for his age group.

The run course followed the West River Road between the Plymouth Avenue bridge and Broadway bridge, down NE Marshall to Hennepin with a scenic route on Nicollet Island and then back across the Plymouth Avenue bridge. The bike course was a down and back along the West River Road from the Plymouth Avenue bridge down to Minnehaha Falls and then back. Beautiful views of the river and Minneapolis skyline along the routes.

As we had such a great time, Pat and I have already signed up for next year's event and hope to get more HRG members to join.
